It was in 1923 that the first stone of the Chaudanne was laid ; Joseph and Claudius Baud "Brisac", the 2 single brothers, built their home. There was also a stable plus an attic on the first floor.
In 1979 , the brothers decided to leave their old barn to their nephew Michel MARCHAND who had the idea, along with his wife Marie-Françoise, to transforme the building into a chalet with a restaurant on the ground floor.
In December, the restaurant "La Chaudanne" first opened its doors.
Then in July 2001, after many years of management, their son Thierry MARCHAND and his partner Véronique took over the restaurant. The restaurant became more and more popular...
And it was in 2010, that they decided to renovate the restaurant : the restaurant was extended and completely renovated. Late November, after 7 months of building works, the new Chaudanne opened to the public...
Once again, it is time for Véronique and Thierry to undertake more building works to further improve the restaurant and offer more comfort for the clients and also for the team in the kitchen.
